Oldmixon Construction and Design

Oldmixon Construction and Design OCD is a design build company specializing in residential and commercial remodels. Until the Summer of 2020, we served the Missoula, MT area.

We are now pleased to offer our services to the White Mountain and Lakes Regions of New Hampshire. The head of our team is Jaime Oldmixon. He has been in construction since the age of 8 when his father would take him to work on the energy efficient houses he built. Then in high school, he worked on the family’s rental properties performing maintenance and make readies. During college, he worked wi

th one of his brothers as an electrician and offered handyman services to help pay his way through school. After college, Jaime worked seasonally at National Parks and ski areas in Colorado and Alaska mostly in hospitality. But building was in his blood and when he moved to Montana in 2005, he returned to construction. For 8 years, he worked for Huff Construction first as a carpenter. Jaime started out in rough carpentry but quickly excelled at finish work, custom cabinets and furniture. Later, he was promoted to General Manager. In 2013, he started his own company working with customers to achieve their project goals ever mindful of budget constraints and timelines. True to his heritage, Jaime always keeps energy efficiency in mind while designing his projects. In June of 2020, Jaime and his family moved to Campton, New Hampshire to live closer to family. Now we are pleased to offer our services to the White Mountain and Lakes Regions.

Here’s a closer look at the accent wall and bench from a mud room we updated. The wood is pine that was given the Japanese “shou shugi ban” treatment. The wood was burned with a propane torch to give the wood a remarkable richness of color and texture. We love how this turned out.

This is a new experience for our company. We've never had to blast ledge before. It was less dramatic than expected but highly effective nonetheless. Big thanks to Hathaway Drilling and Blasting.

Upgraded bathroom: removed non-bearing wall, scraped popcorn ceiling, relocated electrical outlets, installed new heater/exhaust fan/light, installed new wall heater, built and finished new circle-sawn doors and side panel for vanity, installed new countertop, sink and mirror, installed new vanity lights, finished off with a fresh coat of paint on ceiling and walls.
