We lost a great one today. I have worked with Jeff since 1996 on projects from the Coast, to the Piedmont, to the mountains of North Carolina. The world of the Master Craftsman is dwindling and the light dimmed even further today. He was the total package and could do it all. Most importantly, he could figure out how it needed to be done. On the professional level, I have lost a true beacon of how things should be completed to stand the test of time. No compromising, no sugar coating and definitely a no bullcrap zone. He played it straight and managed projects with the same hard-driving style he lived personally. He was a friend to everyone and did many things over his 40-year career to help people. He was a people person and a great and loyal friend to me and many others. I would never be where I am today without his experience and the fact he believed in our mutual vision when I went into construction. I learned everything I know about the construction world from his willingness to share his knowledge. We had some legendary conversations and discussions and I am very grateful for his wisdom and direction. They don't produce them like Jeff anymore. Fly high, Jeff Wilson, I am going to miss you, buddy. We had a heck of a ride and things will never be the same on job sites.

This is an awesome example of why parents should advise their kids to go into the trades. This is Hunter Hart on the left with his father Kevin on the right of Hart Plumbing and Heating. Hunter has been working with his father for 4 years. He has his EPA and all gas licenses and will be taking his journeyman’s plumbing test this month. The most important and amazing thing about Hunter is he purchased his own home at the age of 20 and yes you read that right 20 years old. Do you need more reasons from me why to advise your kids to go into the trades! How many college graduates have their own house’s at 20 ? Bringbackthetrades.com
