CEO Anthony (Tony) Mikec founded the family-owned company and brought with him more than 40 years experience in the electrical construction industry. By his side are his three sons, Mark, Todd, Neil, and his grandson, Anton, all of whom play critical roles in the company’s operations. In addition to the Mikec family, the Lighthouse Electric team consists of many valuable key personnel including skilled managers and estimators, talented craftsmen and a dedicated administrative staff. As Construction Su***de Prevention Week comes to a close, we're reminded that some of the most important safety conversations don't happen around equipment or job hazards. They happen when we check in on our coworkers and let them know they're not alone.

Throughout the week, mental health resources and toolbox talks were shared across our offices and job sites to encourage awareness. These conversations helped reinforce an important message: it's okay to ask for help, and it's important to look out for one another.

In an industry where strength is often measured by what we can endure, we want to remind everyone that real strength also means speaking up, reaching out, and supporting those around us. Because every conversation has the power to make a difference. 🩵💜🗨️

Today, September 10, is World Su***de Prevention Day, and next week, September 14-18 is Construction Su***de Prevention Week.

At Lighthouse Electric, safety is about more than the hazards we can see. It also means looking out for one another. Mental health can affect anyone, and the challenges people face are not always visible.

Both of these awareness holidays provide us an opportunity to do our part: To encourage conversation. To increase awareness. And to make sure everyone knows they are not alone.

Project Spotlight 🔦

Lighthouse Electric's Service & Accounts Division is supporting a critical infrastructure upgrade at a PA Veterans Affairs hospital as part of the Veterans Health Administration's ongoing investment in modernizing healthcare facilities nationwide.

Our scope of work includes:
🔷 Installation of campus-wide underground duct banks to support fiber connectivity across 11 existing buildings
🔷 Deployment of redundant fiber optic feeds from a new campus data center service building
🔷 Power, data, and telecommunications upgrades within existing facilities, including new data room infrastructure and building-wide cabling improvements
🔷 Construction of a new facility that will serve as the central information and data hub for the campus

Executing work on an active healthcare and government site requires careful planning and coordination. Our team has successfully navigated ongoing collaboration with hospital staff, law enforcement, and the local fire department while maintaining project momentum.

And thanks to the dedication and expertise of the men & women that make up our field teams, this project is currently ahead of schedule!
