🤠 PTT Employees and Families Saddled Up for a Western-Themed Company Picnic!

PTT employees from across the company gathered with their families Sept. 12 at Washington Park’s Stone Pavilion for an unforgettable country-western celebration! Guests enjoyed delicious barbecue, prize giveaways, co****le and other games, children’s activities and plenty of laughs. 🌽🎯🍖🎁

The mechanical bull challenged riders to test their rodeo skills, while Highland Cows Olaf and Anna made some new friends. 🐂 The picnic was a wonderful opportunity for colleagues and their loved ones to relax, reconnect and make lasting memories together.

Getting a 370,000-pound high-voltage transformer from our Canonsburg, PA manufacturing facility to a data center project in Texas required far more than transportation—it demanded engineering, precision, and seamless ex*****on.

The final 11 miles presented the biggest challenge. With the site still under construction and no direct path to the transformer pad, the team used a self-propelled modular transporter (SPMT), a 90° turntable rotation, counterweights, and a jack-and-slide system to place the transformer with pinpoint accuracy. 🎯

This project showcases what's possible when specialized manufacturing and expert field services work together.

This is the last of four identical high-voltage transformers built by Pennsylvania Transformer Technology for a Texas data center — and from the manufacturing floor to the rails to final set on the pad, it took precision, coordination, and a lot of heavy lifting. 💪

🚛⚡ High Voltage Transformer Journey Spotlight – 3 of 4! ⚡🚛

Another major milestone in this project! This is the 3rd of 4 transformers making its way to the site, with the next phase of the journey now underway.

👏 A special shoutout to Mercer Technical Services (MTS), a Quanta Services company, for their expertise in specialty logistics and infrastructure support that helps make complex transportation projects like this possible.

The rigging team is performing a precision jack-and-slide operation to safely transload this massive transformer from the railcar to the transport trailer before its final 11-mile trip to Lancaster, TX.
