Steel Nation has completed a Turbine Compression project for a major Transmission company in Southwest Pennsylvania. The building hosts (2) Cat Solar Turbines. Steel Nation Designed and Built all of the building and components, with special emphasis on Sound Attenuation and the Air Handling/Cooling of these very hot Turbine Engines. Logistics, Safety and Scheduling were perfect, thanks to our Project Manager Steven Searls!

Say No to Gen Set "Enclosures" and Just Get Naked!

With AI and so many Data Centers being Designed and Built, the use of Gen Set Enclosures have been used for decades, especially when these Generators are used as back up power, but now we are seeing Reciprocating Engines and Turbines being used as the primary Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS). Smart microgrid developers are realizing the benefits of placing all engines into one (1) building in lieu of multiple enclosures. The benefits are many:
* Economically, a lot less to build than individual units
* Faster Delivery - Shave off 4-5 months for delivery of "Naked" or Open Units
* Cooler Engines - Air Handling for entire buildings, not individual engines
* Super Quiet - Enhanced Sound Mitigation to below FERC's 55 dBA
* Environmental - More efficient emission controls, CH&P, SCR and Cooling
