QUA’s Adriana Bim and Kamakshi Sharma had the opportunity to visit one of our natural gas-fired power customers in the United States, where our Q-SEP® hollow fiber ultrafiltration membranes are used within the site’s wastewater treatment system.

The water treatment system is used to recycle the plant’s cooling tower blowdown water, an essential aspect of the facility’s operations, directly supporting its 270 MW of power generation.

Our EnviQ® submerged membrane bioreactor (MBR) proved a successful solution for treating wastewater at one of India’s top five-star hotels. Facing challenges with recycling water using conventional methods, the hotel sought our expertise.

With a treatment plant capacity of 200 KLD (35 gpm), EnviQ 440 XL offered a compact design with improved operational efficiency, resulting in consistent and high-quality effluent, reduced reliance on secondary treatments, and a steady permeate flow of 10-12 m3/hr., since its implementation in 2021.
