One of the unique, most beloved features of NRM's smart controls is its System Bypass function. Relied upon by both customers and their refrigeration techs, it allows for quick and easy problem-solving.

Like most food distribution facilities, Balford's refrigeration systems were engineered to maintain temperatures for the hottest day of the year. Evaporator fans across all 15 cooling units ran 100% of the time, 24/7, regardless of actual thermal load.

The data after one year of NRM's integration doesn't lie: Balford Farms achieved a 52% reduction in evaporator fan runtimes, they discovered two aging units failed to initiate cooling 20% of the time (and thus were able to tackle the issue), and their desired 37℉ temperature setpoint was maintained all year.

“It’s like a ‘check engine’ light for your ,” says Charlie Sternberg, owner of S&S Refrigeration in New Jersey.

One of the most beloved features of CoolTrol amongst our customers is its location in the cold space and its ease of use.

Compared to other, more basic evaporator fan controls (which is also just one aspect of CoolTrol's capabilities) that need to be installed inaccessibly ON the evaporator fans, CoolTrol is installed within reach, usually near the original mechanical thermostat.
