Blower Door Testing has become an essential part of building science. The Florida Building Code now requires Blower Door Tests for all new construction. We provided a step by step breakdown of a Blower Door Test to help our customers understand how it works.

This is Sean, our Field Manager and Lead Technician performing a Blower Door Test. The components are as follows... expandable frame for door jams, red tarp to seal, and pressure gauge. This determines the amount of air infiltration in a building. The fan creates a vacuum and the pressure gauge measures how much air is finding its way through holes, cracks, and penetrations through out the home. Video of a test is in the making!
