Congratulations to Andrew Sgrignoli on 10 years with M&B Machine!

Andrew hit this milestone in August, and we recognized him at our end-of-quarter meeting this week. Over the past decade, he has worn a lot of hats. He oversaw a lot of our former DMS product line, handled deliveries, drop-offs, and pickups, and today he’s a CNC Operator on our shop floor. Wherever the business has needed him, he’s stepped up.

We’re grateful for everything Andrew has contributed to this team. Thank you, Andrew, and here’s to many more years.

We had a big day on the shop floor yesterday: our new DNX2100SB arrived and is officially installed at M&B Machine.

This multitasking machine turns and mills in one setup. With dual spindles, a milling spindle, and a servo tailstock, it can handle complex parts up to 21 inches in diameter and 43 inches long without moving them between machines. Add a barfeeder and parts catcher, and it’s built for efficient, consistent production with less hands-on handling.

None of this happens without great partners. Thank you to Precision Machine Tool Solutions for the machine, Specialty Rigging Co. for the delivery and installation, and BBEC Electrical Contractors for the electrical work. And of course, thank you to our team for their hard work and professionalism resulting in a smooth implementation!

Last week, our leadership team headed to Chicago for IMTS — the largest manufacturing technology show in North America.

The trip was a big win on every front: insight into the latest technology shaping our industry, a look at new machines that could save real time on the shop floor, hours of conversation about where M&B goes next strategically, and no shortage of new industry connections made along the way. Beyond the business side, a week together in Chicago brought the team closer — the kind of camaraderie that makes the work back home even better.

A great trip, a great team, and a lot of new ideas headed back to Carlisle.

This past weekend, the M&B Machine team got together for our annual company picnic — good food, good company, and zero pressure to be anyone but yourself. No agendas, no "on your best behavior." Just the people we work with every day, showing up as who they actually are.

Some of our best moments as a team don't happen on the shop floor — they happen around a picnic table, trading stories and getting to know each other outside of work. That's how real camaraderie gets built, and it's part of what makes this team stronger than just a group of coworkers.

We will always be grateful for a crew that shows up for each other, on and off the clock.

M&B Machine just added a new tool to our quality control team: the Keyence VL-870, a 3D CMM scanner that inspects parts faster and with more precision than ever. What used to take hours on first article inspections now takes a fraction of the time — meaning we can turn parts around faster without cutting corners on accuracy.

It's also a step toward the kind of automation shaping the future of manufacturing, and it gives our QC team new tools to grow their skills alongside the technology.

This is one more step in how M&B keeps growing and pushing what we are capable of.
