I haven't touched the RC trucks in awhile since I've been working on the movie. I started back in on tweaking C.O.A.B.
I added some weights to the axles and built the shocks they way they're supposed to be lol. I think they are waaay too long! I have some pieces of some 90mm shocks I may need to swap on. Might be ready to hit rocks by winter lol

I haven't been on this page much lately or doing any rc stuff. Summers are always crazy busy and I've been working on the race car non stop so I can finish the Midwest Hu$tler movie I've been working on for the past decade. Been wrapping up a custom build for the final race scene!

New prototype hot off the printer! 60s Ford with a bobbed rear. Super light and stronger than any rc body out there! This one is a 12.8 wheelbase. I have it sitting on a 12.3 chassis for C.O.A.B. in the picture. I couldn't wait long enough to get a 12.8 truck ready lol. These are printed on a $16,000 printer. I'm wondering if there's a large enough market to sell these to warrant such a pricey purchase. These are ONE piece bodies. Not a bunch of panels glued together. Built to last!

The wheelbase on C.O.A.B. was a bit too short for some of the obstacles at CRC. I played with some parts I already had laying around and extended the wheelbase a bit. The front was extended 1/4" and rear 3/8". It's still about 1/2" short for the ideal length the local crawler guys use. It will have to do for now. I'm anxious to go test it just to see what the difference these changes make. Next time I'll experiment with the overdrive % and see what that does. I'm about to rename C.O.A.B. ~ Crawlin On A Budget to C.O.B. ~ Crawlin Over Budget! 😆
