It appears that the 30% residential solar tax credit will be retired early, at the end of 2025. That's a bummer. ☹️ A solar & battery installation will still make sense in 2026 and beyond (thanks to San Diego Gas & Electric's high electric rates); it will just make more sense now.

Despite this impending urgency, San Diego County Solar believes that you still deserve a system designed for your specific home, to meet your specific needs. SDCP's first-of-its-kind battery incentive program decreases the upfront cost for San Diego area homeowners to get a new solar + battery system for their home. And many homeowners who already have solar (NEM1 or NEM2) are using this program to add a battery, at a much reduced cost.

Funding is limited. Look at your SDG&E bill to see if you get your electricity from San Diego Community Power (SDCP), and call us today. KC and Pamela could not be happier with their San Diego County Solar installation. Max's home is a modern masterpiece overlooking Mission Bay. When he began the search for a solar solution to help with his high electric bills, keeping clean aesthetics was not a secondary consideration. San Diego County Solar went above and beyond to provide the largest solar system possible without being visible from the street, as well as a large battery system to maximize bill savings under California's net billing tariff (NEM3).

Not only is Max thrilled with the finished result, he was also impressed with our process and our communication throughout. He chose us after speaking with multiple other solar contractors, and said that we were the only company who fully explained the step-by-step process. After living in his small Encinitas home for many years, Hudson decided to add a second story and undergo a major remodel. He knew that he wanted to include solar in this project, and following the advice of his general contractor he chose to work with San Diego County Solar. Though his electric consumption was historically low, he decided to size the solar to allow for additional comfort and flexibility.

This 6.15kW Panasonic & EnPhase system was installed with two EnPhase 5P lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries to insure that he’d avoid paying those peak SDG&E electric rates. Hudson values the improved safety of the LFP battery chemistry, as well as the 15-year warranty.
