Meet Francisco Herrera, one of our Project Manager & Designers at CASITA!
Based in San Diego, Francisco’s day-to-day is centered on leadership, coordination, and precision. He oversees design teams, manages drafts and technical drawings, and ensures every project aligns with building codes, industry standards, and the overall creative vision. From first concept to final details, he keeps projects moving forward with clarity and structure.
At the core of his role is bridging the gap between concept and construction. Francisco turns sketches, calculations, and big ideas into clear, feasible architectural designs that clients and teams can confidently build from. He makes sure what’s imagined on paper works seamlessly in the real world.
One of the moments he’s most proud of at CASITA is leading projects from concept through construction especially when integrating structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into one cohesive plan. Watching those coordinated designs come to life on-site is what makes the work truly rewarding.
Francisco’s working superpower? Coordination and clarity. He thrives at bringing together engineers, designers, and technicians — aligning diverse inputs into streamlined, workable solutions that make the entire process smoother.
And a fun fact you won’t find on LinkedIn: outside of architecture, he’s fueled by art, travel, and adventure. Exploring new places and perspectives keeps his creativity sharp and inspires fresh ideas in his work.
