It is getting hot tomorrow! If you have a shop vac go put it on your ac condensate line outside. Attach for 30 seconds or so. You just might save yourself a service call. Of course if you need we are here.

It's very normal: that funny smell the first time you turn on the heat. It can sometimes smell like burning, sometimes a little musty. As the heat gets fired for the first time, that dust gets burned off creating that funky smell. If it does not go away, turn it off and call for a service.
