Ground support equipment has its own control requirements—and OTTO's G2 Military Ground Support Grip gives engineers a starting point. These fully customized grips are configured around the customer’s application. Custom-machined heads for these grips can fit standard handles and come with a variety of OTTO switches and backlighting.

As military systems become more advanced, the way Soldiers interact with that technology matters just as much.

Updated machinery safety requirements take effect, Jan. 20, 2027, placing continued emphasis on how safety is considered throughout the design of equipment and its control systems.

One Trigger. Designed Around Your Application.

A trigger switch may perform a simple action, but the way that action needs to happen can vary significantly from one application to the next.

That's why OTTO's U2 Trigger Switch series offers engineers a range of options to build around their specific control requirements.

Depending on the configuration, U2 triggers are available with one-step or two-step operation, different actuation forces, electrical ratings, environmental protection and low-level switching. Several models are military qualified.

Need something beyond a standard configuration? OTTO can also work with customers to develop application-specific trigger designs when the requirements call for something different.

Reliability isn't something you determine after a control has been installed. It's something you design, test, and validate long before it reaches the application.

For engineers developing equipment for demanding environments, product specifications provide an important roadmap. Mechanical life, electrical life, sealing, operating temperature, vibration, shock, and other performance requirements help determine whether a control is suited for the job it's being asked to perform.

Built for the Function Behind the Control

Some of the most important switching technology in an operator interface isn't visible to the operator at all.

Basic switches can sit behind the controls and mechanisms operators interact with, translating mechanical movement into an electrical switching function.

The OTTO Controls B3S-5 Sealed Basic Switch gives engineers a compact switching option with integral lever actuators, including straight, U-shaped, in-line roller and perpendicular roller configurations.

Multiple circuit styles further allow the switching function to be selected around the needs of the application.
