Good afternoon Facebook friends!

We are thrilled to announce that we have transitioned our office to a new location. As of March 11th, 2024, we are located at:

3333 Earhart Drive, Suite 240
Carrollton, TX 75006

This location was a short move to the West side of the Addison Airport and will allow us to continue to serve all local customers needing immediate services as well as all of our customers nationwide and overseas. In addition to this move, we have purchased new test equipment that will allow us to broaden our capabilities list to include more avionics-type units. If you need a quote on anything specific, let us know!

Please update your records with our new address. Our business hours, phone numbers and email addresses will remain the same, as will our website address and social media accounts.

Good morning Facebook friends. As you may have heard, Texas has been crippled by a historic winter event that has left our roads nearly impassable and our electric grid unable to maintain the current usage causing statewide power outages and forced blackouts. Our hope was to make it back to the office today; however, the roads have still not been cleared and we are expecting more winter weather to come in this evening. At this time, we will be closed through tomorrow at the very least. Thursday morning, we will reassess the travel conditions and determine whether it is safe for our employees to travel back to the office. At this moment, we must put the safety of them first, however, please be assured, we will do everything we can to make up the time lost and get your instruments overhauled and repaired as quickly as we can.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. We will be monitoring emails regularly.
And to our Northern friends, you can have your weather back! We do not like it!! 😃

Dear Valued Friends, Customers, and Vendors:

I know you are receiving many emails/messages with updates regarding how companies are handling these unprecedented times we are facing. As with any other company, we take the health and well-being of our employees, their family, our community, and our customers very seriously. Each day we closely monitor the quickly developing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and make decisions as we go.

At this time, Sims Aviation will remain open as part of the Transportation Systems Critical Infrastructure Sector. Please be reassured that we are a small business with a limited number of employees and plenty of space in our shop to maintain the recommended 6 feet distance between each employee. We are cleaning and disinfecting our entire shop on a regular basis. Our intent is to continue to serve our customer's needs during the duration of this challenging time; however, as we have seen, things can change in an instant and we will keep you informed if our situation changes.

We are all in this together and will persevere together. We pray for the safety, health and strength of our aviation community and the entire world. Thank you for your continued support and please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Unfortunately, due to bad weather, Sims Aviation lost power Sunday afternoon. The electric company is working to restore power to the area; however, we have not been given a set time as to when it will be back on.
