One of our employees spotted a male chocolate lab in traffic at the Carson roundabout and stopped to help before he was hit. He is currently safe at Sprague Landing and looking for his family!
Does anyone know who this handsome boy belongs to? Please reach out if you have any information!

Today, members of the Skamania PUD crew visited Carson Elementary School to present important safety information to all 5th- and 6th-grade classes. We enjoyed the opportunity to connect with the students and hope the information they received today stays with them and is shared with their families at home.
Thank you to Carson Elementary for welcoming us! We are proud to serve our community.

⚡ Reminder: This Weekend!
The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) has scheduled a planned, overnight electrical outage for system maintenance. This outage will affect all customers fed by the Underwood substation, including Underwood, Cook, Willard, and Mill A.
The outage will begin on Saturday, May 16 at approximately 11:30 p.m. and is expected to be restored on Sunday, May 17 by approximately 8 a.m. Please note that estimated times are subject to change. When the estimated time is extended, crews will provide updates if possible, but priority is given to safely completing their work.
Customers affected by this outage will be called. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. Thank you!

System Maintenance Work in Willard, Underwood & West Skamania County: Starting Monday, our contractor, Alamon, will be in the Willard and Underwood areas performing routine utility pole testing. This work helps us assess pole conditions, plan maintenance, and keep our system safe and reliable. Testing will continue through the early summer. You may see Alamon crews working along roadsides or accessing PUD poles on foot. All crews will be clearly identified. At the same time, the PUD is also conducting routine vegetation maintenance on the west end of Skamania County using our contractor, Kemp West. This work helps reduce outage risks and maintain safe clearance around power lines. We appreciate your patience while these important system‑maintenance activities are underway.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our inaugural Run with Heart 5K! Seeing our community come together to support Operation Warm Heart was truly heartwarming. This event wouldn't have been possible without our amazing race partners. A special shoutout to the Columbia Gorge Running Club and Skamania Lodge for their incredible support and partnership. You helped make this day something truly special. And a big thank you to A&J Market for keeping our runners refreshed with post-race beverages! The sun was shining, the energy was high, and together we made a real difference. We are grateful for you!
