Wild Industries, LLC If it's broke I can fix it. If you can dream it, I can build it.

The backup plan was to reuse the old tube end fitting with a JIC male end welded on, but luckily the fl**ge fit over the crimp (after crimping at least)

Well...this is certainly not ideal. Without putting a pressure gauge on this transmission you'd never know anything was wrong, but I can't in good conscience send it home this way. It will fail prematurely if I don't go fix this problem.

Part of me doesn't want to post this, but I think it's important to show. Sometimes things just don't work out right. Own it and make it right.

P.S. if anyone watching this has experience with the 4wg90 (or similar) and has ideas on other possible causes please let me know. I'd love to be wrong on this one.

Putting the new lathe to work facing this Mahindra flywheel. I didn't even have to pull the gap bed!

Not quite as far along as I hoped to be, but a lot further along than where we started this morning!

If you're tired. Do it tired. Let's go!

*Spoiler alert* the jumper wire over the broken trace made this yoke trip a 20A breaker as soon as the button was pressed. I guess it was collateral damage from a short in the rectifier circuit. Further disassembly and diagnosis is needed 🙄

Some hydraulic hard lines that came in off of a Case 1155 E track loader. After some discussion, the customer decided to cut the lines off and have me add in fittings to reconnect it in order to save several hours of disassembly and reassembly.

The factory braze connection had cracked and sprung a leak. Reflowing the factory braze showed they hadn't gotten sufficient fill on the joint, so I added a bit more bronze to all 3 pipes as some additional insurance.

I didn't have any braze on JIC fittings on hand, so I converted some plugs into socket weld fittings and tig welded them in place.

With any luck we will be offering Magnaflux service very soon. This is a capability I've wanted to add for a long time and finally bit the bullet!

Next step is reaching out to a friend who was an NDI/NDT specialist and trainer for the Air Force to get some proper instruction.

Next up on this project is fabricating a jack attachment fixture of some sort. I thought I could use a regular transmission jack and ratchet strap. That barely worked for removal and I don't plan to try my luck with reinstall.

4WG90 Transmission is mostly back together. Lots of fiddly little bits left in order to clean all of the solenoids, replace all of their orings, and install them, but it's getting close!
