Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has received an order for 64 units of 72.5kV Cubicle-type Gas Insulated Switchgear for Vestas' new V236-15.0MW offshore wind turbine in March 2024. The 15MW wind turbine is Vestas' largest capacity turbine, and these newly ordered units will be used in a project that marks the world's first commercial operation of a 15MW wind turbine. Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has attended Vestas Supplier Day Event at the Residence of the Danish Ambassador in Tokyo on July 3, 2024 and expressed excitement and gratitude to support Vestas on such privileged project.

The Cubicle-type Gas Insulated Switchgear is one of our core products for offshore wind power generation. Since 2016, Mitsubishi Electric has been providing Cubicle-type Gas Insulated Switchgear specifically designed for offshore wind turbines.
