How many times did your fridge get opened this weekend?

Between the cookouts, the guests, the AC running nonstop, and everything else that comes with Memorial Day weekend, most homes used a lot more power than usual.

🌞 Seventeen years later, SAS Software is still raising the bar for clean energy.

Back in 2009, SAS built one of North Carolina’s first on-site solar farms, a full megawatt of renewable power right on their Cary campus. Now, they have partnered with our team at Yes Solar Solutions to bring that legacy system into a new era of performance and sustainability.

We removed and recycled 5,000+ modules, installed high-efficiency Heliene modules, and retrofitted the existing SunPower tracker system to support the new modules.

The result? A smarter, stronger solar farm that’s shining brighter than ever. ☀️

If you could step onto a college campus where the energy conversations are happening, this is what you'd see. 🏫

We joined the East Carolina University Sustainability Symposium, where Wyatt spoke on a panel discussion about Industrial Solar Deployment and what it means for North Carolina’s energy future.

Between the impressive dialogue, energy on campus, and enjoying our solar trees on display, it was a reminder that this industry is evolving in real time and there are people making an impact right now.

Also, Wyatt made the news (see it again, we linked it in the comments). FYI, he will not be taking autographs at this time 😅

And honestly, it has made the day pretty great. 🌱

This is what solar with purpose looks like.

This month, we partnered on a special project to install solar on tiny homes for formerly homeless veterans through a grant awarded to PeeWee Homes.

Projects like this show that clean energy can do more than power homes. It can help support stability, reduce long-term costs, and strengthen communities.

We’re grateful to have been part of this important work.

This is one of the most common questions we hear. The good news: your solar panels do not stop working when the skies turn gray.

Solar panels still generate electricity on cloudy and rainy days, just at a reduced output compared to bright sunshine.

Projects like Care First Animal Hospital and Pinehurst Medical Clinic are great reminders that solar is not just for residential rooftops.

It’s quietly helping power the places we count on every day. We believe that extra vitamin D is good for rooftops too!
