Abbiamo Pasta Company is currently seeking a new position of Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our growing business!

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk position works with our Shipping Department and will assist with all shipping and receiving paperwork. Abbiamo is looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking for a career in manufacturing with a locally owned business with great benefits, great people, and great pasta!

Job Description

Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company

Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis

Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments

Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers

Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling

Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems

Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them

Performs any other duties and projects as required by management

Able to work overtime as required

Skills needed

Proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel
Detailed and organized to perform proper paperwork
Inventory management
Ability to multitask
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
Scheduling:

8:00 am- 4:30 pm

• Coordinate and ensure sanitation employees are executing the job in a timely manner
• Work with the QA Manager to make sure all cleaning and paperwork is done according to GMP
• Manage employees delegated by management to clean during downtime
• Keep inventory of all cleaning supplies and consumable items, create order forms as needed
• Train all new employees proper cleaning procedures
• Conduct a daily walkthrough and create an additional cleaning list
• Maintain all cleaning equipment
• Weekly pest control monitoring and documentation
• Adhere to all safety procedures
• Provide strong leadership to the Sanitation team to achieve full plant compliance with all personnel safety, food safety, sanitation/cleaning requirements
• Maintains records and daily sanitation as well as Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS)
• Makes recommendation for improvements to safety procedures, equipment needed, equipment maintenance required, building repairs
• Writes daily/weekly staff assignment schedules, performs employee performance evaluations, and holds disciplinary/coaching meetings as needed
• Inspects and evaluates cleanliness and physical condition of facilities, submitting reports to appropriate department for repairs, furnishings, replacement of tools, and equipment, etc.
• Follow all other duties deemed necessary by management

Monitor packaging robots and troubleshoot issues as needed

Monitor Fanac robot system

Monitors finished goods for quality and foreign material

Adheres to the production schedule
Regularly operate a forklift to move finished goods

Complies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all times

Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of the production area

Able to work overtime as required

Skills needed

Ability to lift 50 pounds on occasion
Forklift experience required

Detailed and organized to perform proper paperwork

Ability to easily learn the limited Robot controls

Ability to multitask

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations

Scheduling:

Shift work
12-hour shifts (6pm-6am, 6am-6pm)
3 to 4 shifts per week depending on the schedule (usually scheduled 2-4 shifts consecutively)

Normal work schedule includes; 36 hours one week (S/W/Th.) and 48 hours the next (M/T/F/S)

Work 7 out of 14 days with a three-day weekend at least every other week!

The Pasta Press Operator position is an important position in the pasta manufacturing pross. Abbiamo is looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking for a career in manufacturing with a locally owned business with great benefits, great people, and great pasta!

Assist in the operation of the pasta line and support equipment to obtain maximum product output

Assist in conducting shape changes on an independent basis according to the production schedule and ensure the proper blends of raw ingredients are used

Monitor and maintain lengths in short goods according to specifications provided

Maintains and improves product quality by completing products’ measurement, entering data

Take routine pasta samples for measuring of lengths, quality, and moisture

Adheres to the production schedule.

Conduct inspections, record, and report findings in the semolina tailings.

Review press and dryer settings for correct operational points in accordance with the provided quality check sheets.

Strives to attain above-average ratings in productivity, quality, safety, and employee relations objectives.

Complies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all times

Able to work overtime as required
