GPT Renewables is actively hiring experienced solar professionals to support multiple community solar projects (2–7.5 MW) across Illinois. We are currently seeking:

- Commissioning Lead Engineer – Solar (Electrical & SCADA)
- Electrical Lead Electrician

Position Details:
Commissioning Lead Engineer
- Lead system energization and commissioning activities
- Perform inverter programming & device configuration
- Oversee DAS/SCADA installation and commissioning
- Conduct IV Curve Trace & Fall of Potential testing
- Lead utility witness testing and system turnover
- 5+ years of electrical/solar commissioning experience preferred

Lead Solar Electrician
- Lead crews on community ground mount solar projects
- Read blueprints and manage daily electrical activities
- Strong NEC knowledge and solar experience required
- 5+ years of electrical/solar leadership experience preferred

What We Offer:

GPT Renewables is seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead Engineer to support utility-scale and community solar projects (2–7.5 MW) across Illinois. This is a hands-on leadership role driving full system startup, advanced commissioning, and utility coordination from Mechanical Completion through Substantial Completion.

What You’ll Do:

Lead system energization and commissioning activities
Perform inverter programming and device configuration
Oversee DAS/SCADA installation and commissioning
Conduct IV Curve Trace & Fall of Potential testing
Lead utility witness testing and system turnover
Troubleshoot electrical and communication systems

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of electrical experience with strong solar commissioning background
Proven experience leading full system startup and energization
Hands-on with inverter commissioning (SMA preferred)
Experience with SCADA/DAS systems and advanced testing methods
Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills in field environments

What We Offer:

In this role, you will take full ownership of system energization, advanced commissioning, and utility coordination—leading projects from mechanical completion through final turnover.

What We Are Looking For:

5+ years of electrical experience with strong solar commissioning background
Proven leadership in full system energization and startup (not support roles)
Experience with inverter commissioning (SMA preferred) and SCADA integration
Strong troubleshooting skills on energized systems and electrical testing (VOC, IR, grounding, phase checks)
Ability to read electrical drawings, lead crews, and coordinate with utilities

What We Offer:

$70.56/hour (includes fringe benefits)
$140/day per diem (7 days)
Rotational project schedule across Illinois (approx. every 3 months)

This is a long-term opportunity (up to 1 year) working consistent overtime and leading crews to mechanical completion on ground mount solar sites.

What We Are Looking For:
-Experience with solar ground mount projects
-Leadership or foreman-level experience (Lead & Assistant roles)
-Strong understanding of electrical systems and NEC standards (5 yrs minimal electrical experience
-Ability to read blueprints and manage daily crew activities
-Willingness to travel between project sites in Illinois

What We Offer:
-Lead Electrician: $70.56/hr
-Assistant Lead Electrician: $66.56/hr
Schedule: 6 x 10-hour shifts (60 hrs/week)
