After a full day at the factory, unwinding at the stunning Tailwater Lodge makes the experience even better. We recently hosted clients there for a two-day trip filled with training, great conversations, and an unforgettable stay in one of upstate New York’s most beautiful lodge destinations.

Trojan Energy’s factory-trained technicians recently completed work on the Autoflame MK8 linkageless combustion control system at Delaware Academy. This state-of-the-art system was carefully commissioned to ensure seamless integration with the building management system (BMS), delivering precise control, improved efficiency, and reliable boiler operation.

The Autoflame system was installed as part of a comprehensive upgrade package that also included De Dietrich Eutectic cast iron sectional boilers and Power Flame high turndown burners. The installation was successfully carried out by T. McElligott Inc., Mechanical Contractors, during the summer of 2025, resulting in a modernized, high-performance heating system designed for optimal efficiency and long-term reliability.

At the historic Hampton Plaza in Albany—formerly the Hampton Hotel—modern efficiency meets early 20th-century architecture. Located at the intersection of State Street and Broadway, this landmark building presented unique challenges when it came time to upgrade its aging boiler system.

With limited access and outdated, unreliable equipment, Trojan Energy Systems delivered a tailored solution designed for both performance and longevity. The project featured De Dietrich sectional eutectic cast iron boilers, paired with a high-turndown Power Flame burner and Autoflame Mini MK8 combustion controls—bringing advanced efficiency, precision, and reliability to the facility.

Despite the logistical challenges of working within a historic structure, DiGesare Mechanical executed a seamless installation, transforming the boiler room into a modern, energy-efficient system that is easier to operate and maintain.

The result is a perfect balance of old-world character and new-world performance—providing the Hampton Plaza with dependable, efficient heating for years to come.

Trojan Energy Systems recently replaced an aging Dearator (DA) tank at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY with a top-of-the-line unit manufactured by Hurst Boiler & Welding Co Inc. Hurst proudly manufacturers its equipment in the United States and is headquartered in Coolidge, Georgia.
This installation presented several challenges, including a tight fit within the mechanical space and a complex rigging process required to safely move the new equipment into the boiler room. Trojan Energy Systems successfully completed the project in collaboration with TFR Industries of Schenectady, NY ensuring a smooth installation and continued reliable operation for the facility.

The project involved modernizing the existing Cleaver-Brooks boilers with high-efficiency Limpsfield burners and integrating advanced Autoflame MK8 linkageless combustion controls.
