Sometimes you can get creative to give the homeowner heat while waiting for the correct part to be ordered. That little green rectangle looking thing is a relay. It’s allowing me to power a different type of blower motor in the furnace so there is heat while the correct blower is ordered. Absolutely nothing unsafe about this. Just a little bit of electrical knowledge and they were warm through The Weeknd when I could return with the OEM blower.

For all my oil fired units following me, please, if you can help it, do not allow your unit to run when your tank is being filled. Also, after it’s been filled, allow some time to pass to allow any sediment that was stirred up during the filling to settle. This is most important for the the tanks where the supply line is off the bottom of the tank. This will help keep air and junk from being pulled into the fuel lines and mucking everything up.

Little details like this can go a long way. This opening was wide open. Took two seconds to correct.
