Benton’s Ready Mixed Concrete is looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanic to help maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks, equipment, and batch plants. This is a hands-on role that’s critical to keeping our operations running safely and efficiently across multiple locations.

What you’ll do:

Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment

Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime

Weld and fabricate components as needed

Assist with maintenance at our batch plants in Cedar Falls, Waterloo, and Independence

What we’re looking for:

Mechanical experience with heavy-duty or industrial equipment

Technical school or related experience preferred

Ability to work in a physical, shop-based environment

What we offer:

Benton’s Ready Mixed Concrete is hiring dependable CDL drivers for the upcoming 2026 construction season. This position involves safely delivering ready-mix concrete to job sites, maintaining equipment, and providing great customer service.

• CDL Class B (minimum) with air brakes
• Strong safety mindset and reliability
• Willingness to work outdoors and occasional Saturdays

We were proud to be a part of the groundbreaking ceremony today for the new Waterloo CourtWorks complex. This 100,000 square foot facility will include multiple volleyball and basketball courts, additional competition spaces, modern amenities, and meeting rooms. This will be an amazing project for our community!
