The next era of Moon exploration has begun! We're proud to announce a $75 million subcontract from NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory to deliver four drones above the Moon's south pole with our Elytra orbiter. In support of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's MoonFall mission and larger Moon Base initiative, these drones will help map safe landing spots and resources for future Artemis missions. As our mission manifest grows, so have our facilities! Firefly has made improvements at our Rocket Ranch and doubled the size of our campus in Cedar Park, Texas with a new innovation lab and expansive cleanroom to enable an assembly line of lunar landers and orbital vehicles. Our Ghost Riders hit another mile marker and completed the preliminary design review for Blue Ghost Mission 4. As part of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's CLPS initiative, Firefly’s fourth lunar mission will gather data on the resources, radiation, and thermal environment at the Moon’s south pole. We were awarded an Air Force Research Laboratory - AFRL contract to support development of the Advanced Algorithm R&D and Verification Architecture. Through SciTec we will use deep learning and advanced algorithms, to enhance target detection and tracking capabilities to strengthen global awareness and mission readiness. Read more here:
