Today, we’re celebrating Diane Kepler as she retires after 18 years with KT Pacer!

During her time with KT Pacer, Diane has taken on a variety of roles and responsibilities, most recently serving in Technical Customer Service. Her experience, dedication, and willingness to help have made her a valued part of our team for nearly two decades.

We thank Diane for everything she has contributed over the past 18 years and wish her all the best as she begins this well-earned next chapter.

We at KT Pacer enjoy the fresh perspectives of interns and being able to immerse them in the day-to-day of the real-world applications of what they learn through their schooling.

Let us introduce you to Matthias Marasch, who has just finished up his internship here at Pacer.

"This summer, I completed a Continuous Improvement Engineering Internship with KT Pacer, where I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects focused on 5S implementation, material flow, shop floor organization, process improvement, and manufacturing efficiency. These initiatives allowed me to gain hands-on experience while applying the engineering and problem-solving skills I have developed during my studies at Iowa State University.

This upcoming year will be my final year pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at Iowa State University, with an emphasis on systems optimization, continuous improvement, and process engineering.

In addition to my academic work, I serve as an Event Director for Iowa State University Dance Marathon, the university's largest student-led philanthropic organization. During our 2026 Big Event, we helped raise more than $180,000 to support children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

Following my internship, I will be continuing to support KT Pacer remotely as I finish my degree, working with ongoing process improvement initiatives and project implementation. I have greatly enjoyed my time with the team and am excited to continue contributing to KT Pacer while completing my final year at Iowa State".

It's been a pleasure to have Matthias on board with us, and these relationships not only give them hands-on experience but keep us in the loop with the new and exciting processes being taught at some of the best Universities in the country.

Cedar Rapids manufacturer provides 26-foot trailer to connect feed mill with university research farms.

The Iowa State University Kent Feed Mill and Grain Science Complex is leasing a high-tech feed trailer, making it easier to deliver bulk from the facility to the university’s animal science farms.

The 26-foot-long trailer, on lease from KT Pacer a Marmon Berkshire Hathaway Company, a global bulk feed transportation equipment manufacturer, has hauled ground corn from the feed mill to the university’s dairy farm with plans to also move feed to the poultry, turkey and swine farms.

The trailer is being pulled by an existing semi tractor owned by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Rusty Burgett, director of animal science farms, said the feed trailer allows students to see the entire production process, from grown on the research farms and milled at the feed mill to it being fed to animals on the farms, which are then processed and sold by the Meats Lab on campus.
