Today is National Heat Awareness Day, an observance developed by Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) to raise awareness, protect workers, and educate companies on the real impact of heat.
Every year, over 25,000 workers in the US suffer from heat-related injuries on the job.
However, this doesn’t have to be the norm. Here are a few steps you can take to prevent heat-illness before it impacts your team.
1.Recognize the Signs & Symptoms
2.Create a Heat Illness Prevention Plan
3.Provide Consistent Access to Water, Shade, Rest and Proper Cooling
At Portacool, we have made it our mission to keep America’s workforce cooler so they can work smarter, safer, and perform at their best.
