Drilling 1/2-in holes and 1/4-in plate as always, been my least favorite aspect of metalworking. But necessary for the feet of the railings that I make. With my Whitney 20 ton punch, it's a blast !!
18 holes in under 4 minutes. My drill press that would have been one hole. With metal filings everywhere.
This leaves me with cool little plugs to play with later.

This Sunday at noon I will be hosting the Capital District Blacksmith Association at Aggressive Metalworks .
There won't be any demonstrations. This will be a Hands-On event. I will be pulling out about a dozen anvils and three or four forges. Anybody that wants to forge for the first time or work on a project they've been working on. Feel free to come and swing a hammer.
This is open to the public and a no-cost event. There will be a donation jar if you want to throw down for steel and fuel which is helpful.
The other dates for an event like this are the last Sunday of September and the last Sunday of January.
