Murdock Webbing has been officially licensed by Crye PrecisionTM to offer MultiCam® Black.

Murdock Webbing’s MultiCam® Black meets the stringent performance demands of law enforcement officers, providing professional appearance with efficient urban concealment during operations – all at a competitive price point. Using specialized Jacquard looms and pre-dyed yarns, the camouflage pattern is woven into the webbing creating a durable, quality product.  It’s simply a better product. Won’t scratch off, won’t mark off – thereby maintaining the integrity of the design even after 1000s of cycles on a hex abrasion machine.

Murdock’s Jacquard woven MultiCam® webbing is offered in the following constructions:

Backpack strap weight products – designed to meet or exceed the specifications for AA-55301. Comes in standard widths of .75”, 1”, 1.5” and 2”. Custom widths also available.

Belt weight products – 1.5” and 1.75” standard widths. Custom widths also available.

NEW: Reinforced products – maximum “stiff” hand that does not bend from selvedge edge to edge. Rigid, hard-wearing belt and backpack weight webbing for heavy duty, high intensity applications.

Contact Pete Cook, VP of Sales, at 1 (800) 375 2052 x3014 or [email protected] for price quotes and prototyping quantities.

Get to know us! Our RI headquarters was originally constructed in 1863, during the American Civil War, and functioned as U.S. Cotton Mill. In 1936, Fredrick Murdock founded Murdock Webbing with only 10 employees and 2 looms. In 1954, the DeAngelis family bought Murdock Webbing, and still continues to run our family owned company!

Stopped at Murdock Webbing and honestly it was one of the most interesting conversations I had in the show, getting to chat to one of the guys who actually works the looms and designs the webbing that ends up on your gear down the weaving of individual threads. They had quite a lot on show but I picked just a few example of new materials to mention, going from top left to bottom right:

-1 to 2" step down webbing in solid colours and camos, the ideal material for an awful lot of sling designs.

-2" to tubular transition that's going to be perfect for the top grab handles on all sort of packs and bags. The tubular sections can be stuffed with foam or beans to create an ideal grab handle and eliminate a lot of sewing by comparison to the 2" webbing folded in to a handle you see on the tops of a lot of bags right now.

-Intermediate/transitional bungee webbing that can have preset lengths of bungee integrated with the standard, solid webbing straight off the loom. The lengths of solid and stretch within the fabric can be entirely tailored and custom ordered by the gear manufacturer.

-Pre-split webbing that won't rip or tear at the stress points where the splits end. The lengths of 2-part vs 1-piece solid webbing can again be entirely custom set by the purchaser. Ideal for chin strap manufacturers on helmets, again potentially cuts down on a huge amount of manufacture/sewing time.

I'm really hoping to start seeing these materials appearing on kit that's available soon. I know if I was going in to business making a sling or bag I'd be using a lot of this stuff.
