New tool day at the shop.

Just got a 1950s hydraulic surface grinder, and I’m pretty excited about the potential this machine has. It definitely needs a little work and a couple of parts, but overall it seems solid and ready for a second life.

Looking forward to getting this machine cleaned up, dialed in, and making it part of the workflow here at Rogue Forge.

Laser and wax kind of weekend.

Spent the weekend fulfilling a personalized wax order, engraving a batch of custom care cards, and wrapping up another fresh batch of 64 half-ounce wax tins.

An 80 layer all Damascus Kiridashi finished up and ready to go. The flowing pattern in the steel paired with the copper press-fit pins gives this piece that extra touch of detail and character. Simple, clean, and built to be used.

I always enjoy making pieces like this where the little details really stand out in hand. The contrast between the Damascus and copper came together exactly how I hoped on this one.
