Today’s Featured Project: Skylar at Sunset 🌅

Located in Hollywood, adjacent to the Kaiser Permanente campus, the newly completed Skylar at Sunset adds new housing to one of Los Angeles most active neighborhoods. The team navigated a constrained footprint and complex regulatory environment while bringing new residences to Sunset Boulevard.

One of the project’s greatest challenges was managing construction logistics with limited laydown space. Through a combination of just-in-time material deliveries and supplementary storage at Cal-City’s warehouse, the team maintained productivity throughout construction.

Close collaboration among the owner, architect, and contractor was key to the project’s success. Regular RFI and submittal review meetings helped streamline communication, while a rigorous mockup process ensured important design elements could be reviewed, tested, and refined prior to installation.
