The GEP Team has some exciting updates to share regarding upcoming changes to DNREC’s Green Energy Program (GEP). We are increasing solar photovoltaic rebate incentive rates and maximum rebate amounts across residential, nonresidential, and non-profit sectors!

Here is a breakdown of the new changes going into effect via the Green Grant Delaware website on July 1, 2026:

🏡 Residential Solar Incentives
Incentive Rate: Increasing from $0.70/Watt ➡️ $0.80/Watt

Maximum Grant: Increasing from $6,000 ➡️ $10,000

🏢 Nonresidential Solar Incentives
Incentive Rate: Increasing from $0.70/Watt ➡️ $0.75/Watt

Maximum Grant: Increasing from $30,000 ➡️ $40,000

Certified Diverse Businesses Rate: Increasing from $0.80/Watt ➡️ $0.85/Watt

🤝 Nonprofit Solar Incentives
Incentive Rate: Increasing from $0.75/Watt ➡️ $0.90/Watt

Maximum Grant: Increasing from $35,000 ➡️ $50,000

🚀 Brand New Incentives
Solar Canopies: $1.00/Watt (Max grant: $100,000)

Solar on Brownfields: $1.00/Watt (Max grant: $100,000)
