Dom you were a force of nature that touched each one of us with your passion for life and country. We all love you and will see you again.

Meet this week's Hometown Hero, Dominic Testani of Doylestown, whom we tragically lost last weekend in a boating accident. In his short eighteen years, Dominic led a vibrant and inspirational life and had an incredibly bright future ahead as an early enlistee of the United States Army. Dominic possessed a contagious zeal for life and expressed his love and admiration for others without inhibition. He made it a point to show compassion and kindness to everyone and injected humor into everyday, ordinary situations. Dominic's drive and dedication made him a stand-out athlete, but his grit and resilience made him truly special. After sustaining two serious sports injuries, Dominic underwent three surgeries and two excruciatingly slow years of rehabilitation. Upon being medically cleared in the fall of his senior year, Dominic made the decision to serve our nation and enlisted in the Army. When asked why he chose this path, without hesitation, Dominic affirmed, “I want to be useful with my body.” In what came to be the final six months of his life, Dominic never wavered in his patriotic and selfless decision to serve our country—he even arranged for an early graduation from CB West so he could leave for basic training this spring. Please join me in expressing condolences to all of Dominic's family and friends, and let his joy for life, love, and our country be an inspiration to us always.
