Valero Energy Meraux joined St. Bernard Parish Public Schools, volunteers and the community for the annual Special Olympics held at Chalmette High School. Our Valero Volunteers served drinks while cheering on the students as they competed and shined in several outdoor events. is proud to support this incredible event through the Valero Benefit for Children.

Valero Energy Meraux Employees joined with the United Way of Southeast Louisiana for its MLK Southshore Day of Action. Employees volunteered at Leo Benewell Play Spot helping to make the play area into a ⭐️ brighter, safer and more welcoming place for kids. They joined other volunteers to repair and paint benches and fencing, restripe the basketball court, paint ground games and complete other repairs. It was a great morning making a real difference for kids!

Christmas 🎁 came early for eight local charities in St. Bernard and the surrounding area! The Valero Meraux Refinery celebrated the season of giving by awarding $350,000 to local children’s agencies via the Valero Benefit for Children. Through the 2025 Valero Texas Open and Valero Benefit for Children, $25 million was raised in the U.S. None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of Valero’s business partners, donors and sponsors who are fueling the work of hundreds of charities. Valero Energy is proud to partner with these agencies through the Valero Texas Open and Benefit for Children, where together, we are making a difference for children across the country!

Valero Employees donated to help provide approximately 150 families with non-perishable food items and a turkey or ham gift card. With Thanksgiving around the corner, Team Valero is committed to ensuring our neighbors are remembered and cared for this holiday season. 🦃

Valero Energy Meraux enjoyed hosting students from Holy Cross School and Cabrini High School for a tour and overview of the refinery. Students spent the morning and early afternoon learning about Valero, hearing presentations from engineers and leadership team members and exploring potential career paths. Thanks to all who help make these opportunities possible for local students!

Our Valero Energy Meraux Volunteers recently spent time in the Central Wetlands of St. Bernard Parish 🌳 planting 300 bald cypress and 200 water tupelo saplings alongside Pontchartrain Conservancy. We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back, restore our wetlands, and support the community we’re proud to be part of.
