A huge shoutout to Katherine Tyler for the countless hours she dedicated to leading the GMU Concrete Canoe team! Thanks to her hard work, leadership, and enthusiasm, the team achieved a major milestone by passing the safety test for the very first time. She also brought incredible energy and motivation to the team — maybe we’ll even see GMU racing a canoe next year!

Special thanks as well to Roberto Benavidez and Luis Funes for helping transport the canoe to the venue and supporting the team along the way. Great teamwork all around!

Boom! 💥 This blast was taken during the construction of Ranson Heights, a large townhome and single-family development in Ranson, West Virginia, totaling 430 lots.

WAH broke ground in July 2024 and delivered the first of four phases in July 2025. The next phase is being completed currently.

The project consists of roughly 10 miles of wet utility installation, pump station construction, and just shy of 500,000 CY of earthwork.
