The East Chapel Hill High School Robotics Team made their best robot yet: Odyssey! From Gainesville to Rashkis Elementary, this robot made big waves!

What an awesome weekend at the UNC Pembroke Competition! We placed 2nd out of 36 and brought home the Autonomous Award! We had a blast leading the 2nd seed alliance with Boneyard Robotics, 2682 and the Armored Eagles, 6215! We lost 1-2 in the Semifinals, but huge congrats to the rookie team we mentor, SeQuEnCe, 7890 for taking home the gold and their first blue banner! The Eastbots are excited to compete at the State Championships this weekend and try our hand at qualifying for worlds!

The Eastbots loved helping out with the Teen Tech Week Event at the Kidzu Children's Museum this Saturday! It was awesome to see future engineers and scientists drive the robots!

The Eastbots a student-run FIRST Robotics team in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. We were semi-finalists at the State Championship in 2016 and finalists at the Raleigh District event in 2017. We are raising money to compete in 2018's FIRST POWER UP competition, we are looking forward...

As our school year has resumed, so have the fundraising efforts of our wonderful marketing team! With a recent donation, Google has now become a presenting sponsor of the team. We want to extend our great gratitude to the employees at Google Chapel Hill office for helping us. For allowing us to continue our great work and success, thank you Google!

(This post is looong overdue. There are more pics to come!) After a long season of working on and improving our robot, our team was able, for the first time, go to Houston and participate in Worlds! We made it to quarterfinals in the Carver division, and had a lot of fun playing.

Along with an opportunity to play one the worlds stage, Eastbots also took advantage of other opportunities there, attending conferences and mingling with other teams. It was super fun and a great experience for us all!

As we wrap up the season, we want to give a big thanks not only to our dedicated members, but all the parents who gave up their time to help us go to competition and let their kids stay at school (sometimes too) late, and our sponsors, who made this all possible. Go Eastbots! Next destination: Deep Space...

Here we are again, Eastbots! This past weekend, our team went to the North Carolina District Championship competition at Campbell University! We ended up placing rank 11, as a 7th seed alliance captain in the quarterfinals (with YETI Robotics, FIRST Team 3506 and team 6908 Infuzed).

This means that this year we are qualified to go to the National/World Championships in Houston, Texas this year! We are super excited!

What a great weekend for the Eastbots! Thanks to our hardworking efforts in the pits, scouting, and all-around team effort, our team managed to place 3rd out of 32 teams and make it to finals as second seed alliance captains (With Hotbotz2640 and Bots of War Team 4290 as our awesome alliance mates!). As of now, we are ranked 6th in the state and will be going to states next weekend.

We also won the Innovation in Control award, so shoutout to the programming and electrical teams for being amazing! Great job to everyone-- our hard work is showing.
