Temperatures are going to be very low for the next week. While we will do our best to take care of everyone that needs our help , we will likely be working long, hard hours to do so and we wanted to share a few tips to help.

1.) Always try to have an alternative heat source available in case of an emergency so that you will not be without heat while waiting on your HVAC service company. Space heaters are a good example of this.

2.) Heatpumps will have trouble keeping up when temperatures drop below 32° outside. If your unit freezes up outside, switch your system over to emergency or auxiliary heat until temperatures climb back up above freezing. This will allow you to heat your home without doing any damage to your heatpump if it has excessive ice build up.

3.) Leave your faucets dripping when the temperatures will be below 32° for several days consecutively to prevent your pipes from freezing and bursting.
