Need some Labor Day plans? Enjoy the long weekend with a ride on the recently opened Fayette County Western Bike Path! 🚲

This 1.7-mile route connects Milledgeville to Octa, Ohio, and features a historic truss bridge over Rattlesnake Creek. The 1916 truss bridge was saved from the graveyard, rehabilitated, and now finds its new home on this bike path.

A special thank you to the ELR team members who contributed to the salvaging of the historic truss bridge: Angela Fedak, Tim Sheldon, James Walker, EIT, and Connor Slade. We appreciate the opportunity to work with Fayette County and the Fayette County Park District on this project. Great work, team!

Meet Ryan Slate 👋

Ryan, sometimes also known as just Slate, recently joined the ELR team as a Civil Engineer (E.I.T.) in our Site Development department in Columbus, Ohio, where he will be working on commercial and residential design projects.

Originally from Westerville, Ohio, Ryan graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in May 2026. He also passed the FE exam in March.

Ryan is excited to kick-start his post-grad career at ELR and work alongside experienced professionals. He’s looking forward to contributing to complex, impactful projects and putting his academic knowledge into practice through real-world engineering applications.

Outside of work, you’ll find Ryan spending time with friends and enjoying the outdoors, whether it's camping, hiking, or hitting the pool.

With National Intern Day coming up this week, we're celebrating a special milestone.

We're excited to congratulate former intern Jayda Lamb on becoming a full-time member of the E.L. Robinson team. Jayda joined ELR last year as an intern while attending The Ohio State University, and today, we're proud to welcome her as a full-time employee in our Columbus office.
