🚒 Last week, we had the honor of witnessing history in the making.

McFarland Construction was proud to attend the Uncoupling Ceremony for Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte NC's Firehouse #11 - a milestone that marks the official completion of construction and the station's transition into service for the community.

This 18,000 square foot facility replaces a station that has served the community since 1959, and will be home to the "Night Owls" — Engine 11, Rescue 11, Battalion 9, and Dive 11.

Projects like this are a reminder of why we do what we do. We don't just build buildings, we build the infrastructure that keeps communities safe.

A sincere thank you to our partners at JE Dunn Construction, Boomerang Design , and the many trades and individuals who brought this incredible station to life. And most importantly, congratulations and thank you to the men and women of Firehouse #11. We're grateful for your service. 🙏

Last week we officially broke ground on the future home of Firehouse 47 at Charlotte Douglas International Airport! 🚒

In Joint Venture with JE Dunn Construction, we are proud to be building this new 55,000 SF facility - Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte NC's third airport firehouse at Charlotte Douglas International Airport - CLT. Positioned on the southwestern side of the airfield, the new firehouse will strengthen emergency coverage, improve firefighter safety, and support the airport's continued expansion.

This is a major investment in the public safety infrastructure of one of the busiest airports in the world, and we don't take that responsibility lightly. Proud to be part of a project that truly matters.

– Cabarrus County EMS Headquarters

For nearly 5 decades, Cabarrus County's Emergency Medical Services operated out of a 3,000 SF building. In that time, the department grew immensely — and so did the need for a space that could keep up.

In Joint Venture with Vannoy James R & Sons Construction, we delivered a new 30,000 SF headquarters built for the demands of a modern EMS operation. The facility includes a welcoming lobby, medical training rooms, large vehicle bays, administrative offices, multiple conference rooms, and a gym — giving the 160-plus EMS staff serving the Cabarrus community a true home base.

Centrally located and purpose-built, this facility doesn't just give the team the space they've needed — it sets them up to level up with an advanced training environment that supports continued growth for years to come.

Proud to support the people who show up every day for the Cabarrus community. 🚑

This project was completed in October of 2023.

Since joining McFarland Construction in 2019, Yasir has been a driving force behind our growth — rising from Director of Operations to Vice President of Operations in 2025. Under his leadership, McFarland achieved 30% staff growth and a 45% revenue increase, surpassing $250 million.
