We are so proud to introduce Breanna Collins and Matthew White—two millwrights from Local 1554 who have just graduated to journey-level status and are newly installed Delegates for Local Union 1554!

Delegates and Council staff gathered this past weekend to address a full plate of Council business, but the highlight of the meeting was celebrating Breanna and Matthew's success. They are shown here with SECRC Executive Secretary-Treasurer Tom Jenkins (far left) and Mid-South Carpenters Regional Council Training Trust Fund Executive Director Rickey Moore (far right). Well done, Breanna and Matthew!

It’s time to prepare for the 2023 Southeastern Carpenters Regional Council Scholarship program! If any SECRC member has a high school senior who is going on to college, please consider applying! Dependent children of all members of the Council, except dependents of Council employees, are eligible to apply.

The deadline to submit a scholarship application is August 1, 2023, but get your applications in as soon as possible. For guidelines about the program and to start the application process, please click here: https://www.southeasterncarpenters.org/scholarship-application/.

Please send your completed application to [email protected] or mail it to the Council office at 3710 Executive Center Drive, Suite A, Augusta, GA 30907.

All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. Qualifying applicants’ scholarships will be awarded at the September 9, 2023 Council Meeting.

ATTENTION CURRENT SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS: Please remember to send in proof that you maintained a 3.0 grade point average in order to qualify for your scholarship renewal. Please send a copy of your academic record for last year to [email protected] or mail it to the Council office at 3710 Executive Center Drive, Suite A, Augusta, GA 30907. The deadline for this is also August 1, 2023.
