Women from our Charlotte team joined AIA Charlotte’s Women in Architecture for the 8th Annual Rise & Design at the Mint Museum Uptown. It was an inspiring morning with some pretty incredible women!

We look forward to this event every year, and Optima was proud to sponsor a morning of connection, encouragement, and thoughtful conversation.

A room full of strong female leaders reminds us of what we can accomplish when we support one another.

Prost to our partners! 🍻

Our Raleigh team raised a glass to another year of collaboration with our wonderful clients at Optoberfest! From catching up with clients to testing everyone’s strength in the stein-holding contest, there was plenty of fun to go around.

Our raffle also gave guests a chance to give back, with donations benefiting the Cooper Charitable Foundation in Raleigh. Thank you to everyone who helped us raise $1000 that night. 🎉

To our clients, thank you for your trust, partnership, and for giving us so much to "cheers" about. Until next year!

A great day on the golf course is always more rewarding when it helps make a difference in our community. ⛳️

The 26th Annual Ed Sweeney Golf Tournament brought together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners for a day full of competition, camaraderie, and purpose. Together, the event raised $9,032 to help provide holiday gifts for 111 students at the Wolfe School in Monroe, NC.

Special shoutout to our own Bill Nord for winning the Longest Putt Challenge on the course! Thank you to Jordan Smith of Morris Berg Architects for joining our foursome. It was a great day all around!

Five years of hard work, teamwork, and making an impact at Optima!

This fall, we’re celebrating Matt A., Matt S., and Dubby W. as they each mark five years with our team this quarter. We’re grateful for all they’ve contributed and the dedication they bring to Optima every day.

Congratulations on five years! Here’s to many more!

A building may look like one finished product, but behind it are countless systems working together.

You may not always see our work, but you experience it every day.

Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember the lives lost in New York City, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. We honor the courage shown that day and hold close the families and communities forever changed.

Imagine walking the halls of your brand-new school and stumbling across…a planetarium. 🪐

That’s just one of the many spaces students can now explore at Robeson County's new Career & Technical Education Center in Lumberton. The approximately 130,000 SF school brings hands-on learning to life through programs in welding, robotics, dental studies, pottery, automotive technology, culinary arts, supply chain and logistics, and much more.

Optima proudly provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection engineering, and technology services for a school designed to help students explore what’s possible and prepare for what comes next.

Serving up a double win! 🏐🏆 Team Optima Engineering served up two big wins, taking home both the regular-season and tournament titles in the Charlotte Area Architects Volleyball League! We loved mixing a little friendly competition with plenty of fun alongside our Charlotte AEC peers this summer.

A refreshed space supporting NC State Football Operations!

Optima provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for the 8,500 SF Murphy Center Kitchen and Dining Renovation. The project modernized the kitchen, dining facility, servery, and player lounge to support Wolfpack athletes and staff.

With many proud NC State graduates on our team, contributing to this project was especially meaningful for Optima.

Congratulations to NC State and the entire project team!
