A thoughtful upgrade designed with protection in mind.

My client wanted to add an extra layer of security around the washer in case of potential leaks or spills. Since this home is built on a slab and a floor drain wasn’t installed during the initial concrete pour, traditional drainage wasn’t an option.

To solve this, we elevated the washer platform just enough to integrate a drain pan with a flexible drain line routed to the garage, where it ties into the water heater discharge. This custom solution helps redirect any unexpected water safely away—protecting the floors, trim, and walls from damage.
