It usually goes one of two ways.

Either someone had another company tell them they needed a full replacement and called us for a second opinion. OR… they'd been putting something off and assumed it was going to be worse than it turned out to be. Either way, there's nothing better than showing up and telling a homeowner it's not as bad as they thought. Happens more than you'd expect!

If you could see what a year or two of buildup does to your AC's coils, you'd understand immediately why it has to work so much harder when it’s not clean.

The coils in your system are what pull heat out of the air. When they're clean, air moves through freely and everything runs the way it's supposed to.

When they're packed with dust and debris, airflow drops, the system strains to do the same job, and you end up paying more to feel less comfortable.

A coil wash is part of our $120 tune-up June Special. We clean them out, check the refrigerant, go through the electrical components, and give you an honest read on the whole system. If something needs attention we’ll let you know what to watch out for.

Probably not. A properly working AC is generally designed to cool your home about 20 degrees below the outdoor temperature. So on a 100° day, getting down to around 80° is right at the edge of what most systems can do. Setting it to 70 doesn’t cool faster or colder.
