A.D. Engineering Your single source for site planning, engineering, and permitting services. Founded in 2005, ADE is a civil engineering firm located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

We perform site planning and engineering services for retail, industrial, residential, commercial and local government projects. Services include:
• Site engineering including grading, stormwater design, utilities, and permitting
• Construction inspections for quality control and TDEC requirements
• Property development services including site layouts, subdivision design, budget estimates, property rezoning and variances, and coordination of surveying and geotechnical testing
• Stormwater pollution prevention plans, erosion control plans and land disturbance permitting
• Aquatic resource alteration permits including mitigation design such as stream restoration plans
• Low impact site design incorporating stormwater treatment, detention and infiltration. Our dedicated services result in timely, accurate and cost effective project completion. Clear communication with our clients is our top priority.

A.D. Engineering team member, Donna Shepherd, was privileged to attend a roundtable at Neighborhood Enterprise last week. This was part of a continued discussion to evaluate how the local development community can work with policy makers and regulators to facilitate affordable housing projects through urban infill and redevelopment.

We enjoyed the recent CIVIQ presentation by Eric Kronberg of Kronberg Urbanists + Architects at the The Chattanooga Public Library on affordable housing. As rent and home prices continue to increase, the working population is at greater risk. Eric outlined how we can effectively utilize urban infill and redevelopment projects where there are existing streets, utilities, storm infrastructure, etc., to provide more affordable housing options.

The A.D. Engineering team has had the pleasure of working with Eric as architect on several Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise projects. It was great to see him address this issue with our community at large. Thanks Chattanooga Design Studio for making this presentation happen!
