ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Operates a variety of CNC and/or manual machining equipment including cylindrical grinders, lathes, and mills.
• Operates machine tools in the machining and finishing of precision machine parts.
• Must have the ability to operate precision equipment to hold tight tolerances (+/- 0.0002 - +/- .001") and to achieve the proper surface finish in accordance with customer specifications and/or engineering drawings.

‍Skills Required

‍• Demonstrated experience managing personal productivity and quality to meet customer requirements
• Proficiency in reading micrometers, using dial indicators, calipers, and other measurement instruments
• Measure thickness, diameter, and total indicated run out across multiple surfaces of industrial parts • High level of understanding in the handling of parts with critical surface finish requirements
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow work instructions
• Aptitude for concentrating on minor details
• Experience working in an industrial environment – 3 years minimum
• Must pass Pre-Employment testing and a drug screen. Background Check is performed after employment offers.

‍Special Requirements and Considerations
• CNC Programming experience with G-code and M-code a plus
• Basic machine shop education or equivalent on the job experience
• Precision Measuring Instruments education
• Experience Grinding of Hard Chrome, Ceramic, or Carbide coatings a Plus.

‍• Minimum Education: High school graduate or GED
• Experience in a lean/5S environment preferred**

Skills Required
• Demonstrated experience managing personal productivity and quality to meet customer requirements
• High level of understanding in the handling of parts with critical surface finish requirements
• Knowledge of Thermal Spray equipment including HVOF, Plasma, and Twin-Wire Arc equipment required
• Knowledgeable of preparation and finishing steps before and after coating application is a plus
• Experience in using and programming 6-axis robots is a plus
• Ability to independently apply coating to most industrial machine parts
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Proficient in using and reading micrometers, thickness gauges, and other measurement instruments
• Observe Environmental & safety rules including wearing PPE
• Understanding of standard tools, such as basic mechanics tools
• The ability to watch, listen and learn / retain training for rapid understanding of processes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Auto paint and finishing experience a plus

Position Responsibilities and Duties
• Operate and maintain Thermal Spray Equipment (HVOF, Plasma, Twin Wire Arc, etc)
• Apply protective masking such including tapes, polymers, and manufactured tooling
• Remove existing coatings and perform complete surface preparation for coating
• Set-Up booths properly to include spray equipment, tooling and special cooling fixtures
• Operate spray equipment per parameter sheets and document completed processes
• Inspect coatings for adhesion and uniformity

Education and Training
• Minimum Education: High school graduate or GED
• Experience in a lean/5S environment preferred

• Experienced using micrometers and dial indicators for adherence to critical dimensional tolerances
• Experienced with cylindrical parts using various setups including centers, steady rests, mandrels, etc. with high tolerance requirements.
• High level of understanding in the handling of parts with critical surface finish requirements
• Ability to tape and mask parts contained in work instructions
• Ability to blast parts following work instructions
• Inspect machined surface finishes and diagnose problems with cylindrical parts used in industrial manufacturing processes
• Knowledgeable of preparation and finishing steps before and after surface finishing (ie; hard chrome, tungsten carbide, plasma applied coatings, etc.) is a plus
• Experience with total indicated run out across multiple surfaces of cylindrical industrial parts is a plus
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
