Last week we said goodbye to our buddy and longtime mason, Derrick Von Broda. He’s been with us since 2015 — over 10 years of hard work, plenty of laughs, and more than a few after-work foosball victories (at least if you ask him).

Derrick wasn’t just good with bricks and mortar — he was also the crew’s unofficial pitmaster. From smoked meats to the delicious chili he brought in on his last day, the guy knows his way around a smoker.

He’s moving on to a new gig now, and while we’ll miss him around here, we know he’ll do great. Good luck, Derrick — keep laying bricks, smoking brisket, and talking smack at the foosball table wherever you go!
