We were incredibly proud to celebrate MEB's safety milestone of achieving Virginia BEST Level III recognition with a flag raising ceremony alongside members of our team, partners, and local officials.

MEB is the first general contractor in Virginia to achieve Level III, representing the highest and most prestigious level of achievement within the BEST program (Building Excellence in Safety, Health, and Training). This designation recognizes companies who voluntarily implement highly effective safety and health management systems that go beyond regulatory requirements to protect and support construction workers across the commonwealth of Virginia.

This achievement represents years of continuous improvement, accountability, training, and a commitment to maintaining a culture where our core value, Safety Matters, is integrated into every part of our organization and work. Most importantly, it reflects our responsibility to protect our most important asset, our people.

Thank you to the entire team who continue to help raise the standard for safety within MEB and across our industry.

The MEB team at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard volunteered their time to help bring a new outdoor learning pavilion to life at Carrsville Elementary School! Over two weeks, the crew graded the site, poured concrete, built the structure, and completed the surrounding landscape.

Strategically positioned between the greenhouse and butterfly gardens, the pavilion gives students a dedicated space for hands-on, outdoor learning.

The project wrapped with a ribbon-cutting that brought together students, teachers, and community partners. MEB was honored with the Isle Award from Isle of Wight County Schools in recognition of the team’s contribution, great job everyone!
