π₯΅Past 11am many attics can be as high as 155 to 170 degrees and climbing. The shorter the attic space, the hotter it becomes and the faster the heat rise happens.
Please be kind to your HVAC techs. They risk their health to bring you comfort. This kind of heat can slow you down and by 4pm you can stay no longer than 5 mins at a time in the attic. It is very dangerous and takes your thoughts in seconds. We know itβs 100 plus most days recently outside, yet it feels like the AC is on outside to to these techs. They may need to change clothes during the day to be professional for the next customer. Many techs struggle to sleep at night and when they do, many times they are awakened with cramps and headaches no matter how much water they drink. Sometimes they donβt get home to their families until 10pm or later and still have to be up at 6am to do it all over again. After 7 days, it takes sometimes takes everything they have to go knock on that next door.
Please watch after your HVAC technician. Heat exhaustion can happen in seconds. Our techs may have to take their time and you may see them taking a rest, standing outside.
It truly takes a special mind set and education to step into this profession. Your kindness helps our techs work faster and be more confident in repairing your issue. Motivation does nothing till you take action! That action in these attics can be deadly.
Our technicians love bringing you comfort! To turn that AC on for you is what they chase. Once your system is up and running good, they are scheduled to be at the next home in need. We have no idea how long it will take to make the repair at each home Most of the time the techs are running behind in their schedule. That stress alone makes them stay in the attic too long to make that repair so they can try to get to the next home on time.
Be nice to and patient with our technicians, they are pushed passed the limits most people canβt handle.
Thank you for your kindness!β€οΈ
