These past couple months have certainly taken a toll on my body and mind. Due to some very unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances I’ve been thrown to the lions to try and figure some stuff out on my own.

There has been a lot of reinvesting and researching and not a lot of sleep and relaxation.

It’s also been a battle to keep all my customers happy at the same time. I am so VERY thankful for all of your patience!

A special thanks to all of the people that have given me advice along the way. Ivey Industries Airgas, an Air Liquide Company Friends, family and loved ones 💕 I couldn’t do it without you all!

This is the American dream I have been asking for and boy did I get it!

2 or 20+ years ago (who’s counting 😅) I rolled into my first beginner welding position at a local fabrication company. “Mannn I can’t wait to learn all about welding here!” Whoaaaaa hold your horses young man…you need to learn how to make those lousy welds you’re about to make look presentable first! (They were right, I was green as grass) Which may seem like a funny thing to hear but a fab shop is a lot different than a structural or pipe shops. Most things need to look perfect, uniform finish, no sharp edges, etc.

Off I headed to the finishing department for what seemed to be an eternity. However, I couldn’t be more thankful for that time spent there learning how to grind, blend and finish metal to make it appear that it has never been welded before. I learned the most from an eclectic group of men, some that were on work release from jail, guys that eventually ended up in jail annnnd I guess a few boring guys that actually learned the trade years ago like I was currently trying to do 😂

A skill set that I still use occasionally in my day to day work. It also gives me an opportunity to quote jobs that a lot of people may turn away. I’m certainly not a pro but I can still hang with the mediocre best of them all.

Pro tip…WD-40 works incredible on a sanding disc to prevent clogging and helps cutting on aluminum. You’re welcome!

A customer requested an on site weld job due to the size and the possibility of damage in transport. So I packed up everything but the kitchen sink …. …. 🥁…to take of the task at hand.

It’s a slow and tedious process to prevent warpage and distortion but overall everyone was very happy with the outcome.

What a way to start the work week!

When life gives you lemons, lose your mind and disassemble your work rig….🤔…yes, that’s how the saying goes I’m sure of it.

New England winters can be brutal on a vehicle but with the help from and this 2011 Ram has kept the salt/brine gremlins away…for now. 🤞🏻

It’s generally a 2-3 day project but sure beats a truck payment.

Santa was certainly swearing in his workshop this morning. 🎅🏼🗣️ @&%=!

There was no degree in metallurgy available at the North Pole School of Fabrication when Santa graduated but something was a bit off with this magnetic “steel” and was giving him a hard time. All brackets were soldered before.

The elf’s suggested going for their magical little secret filler metal for this one. Worked like a charm! Sometimes those little guys are so clever.

Everyone can sleep peacefully now knowing the ashes will be removed from the fireplace when he comes sliding down!
