📍 The photos featured in this post are from the Deadman’s Run Tributary in Lincoln, Nebraska. The tributary had become deeply incised, resulting in widespread bank erosion that damaged and threatened utilities and valuable property.
Intuition & Logic provided analysis and channel restoration design. The final design relocated a portion of the previously straightened channel back into its floodplain and restored a more natural, sinuous channel form. Rock grade control structures and vegetated bank stabilization were also incorporated to help stabilize the stream.
The before, after, and seven-years-later photos highlight the long-term results of thoughtful stream restoration and stabilization.
